Al hamdulillah! (All the Praise is to Allah!)  It is time to prepare for your attendance of the 2ndAnnual IHSARI Conference. The Islamic Historical Society and Research Institute (IHSARI) Conference is an annual event that has been instituted by the IHSARI Supporters under the leadership of the IHSARI Board of Directors. This is our second conference year.   Our Theme is: “Preserving Our Own Precious History.”  This year’s historic event spotlights our educational, and cultural evolution, from Africa to America, Insha’Allah (if Allah wills it).  The 2ndIHSARI Conference will again, be held in Atlanta, Georgia. However, we anticipate establishing chapters throughout the United States with the intention of holding Conferences in various cities throughout the country.   This (Second) 2ndIHSARI Conference venue will be held at Pioneer Hall on the premises of the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as at Mohammed Schools and The Community Café, Insha’Allah.

The IHSARI Conference will begin with the Opening Ceremony in Pioneer Hall on Friday, February 22, 2019, after the congregational Jumu’ah Prayer at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Insha’Allah.  We will have IHSARI Orientation, speakers addressing our theme “Preserving Our Own Precious History”, exhibitions, Pioneer Symposium Discussions and on-site historical recordings for anyone wishing to document their own personal journey to Islam. The Atlanta Masjid, located at Fayetteville Road at Glenwood Road in Atlanta, has been led by Imam Sulaiman Hamed, Imam Rashad Abdur Rahman and the Masjid Majlis Board Chaired by Imam Plemon El-Amin for several years now.  

During this 5 (five) day event, we will share knowledge and information as well as conduct workshops, panel discussions, exhibits, poetry readings, tajwid, culture and entertainment, Insha’Allah.  The activities for Saturday, February 23, 2019 and Sunday, February 24, 2019, starting at 10:00am, will be highlighted by a mixture of educational sessions, workshops and presentationsfeaturing well-known Community Workers, Imams, Ministers, Scholars, Educators, Professionals and a variety of community participant activity for men, women, and the youth, Insha’Allah.  Throughout the Conference days you will be able to shop and browsewith our vendors in the Vendors Suq (marketplace) available during the Conference and find books, publications, artifacts and some of those hard-to-get cultural items, Insha’Allah. Saturday evening will have a traditional Fundraising Dinner Buffet at the Community Café at 7:00pm, featuring an exquisite halal menu, with speakers and recognition of outstanding community leaders in our midst, Insha’Allah.  IHSARI Empowerment Monday February 25, 2019, will feature Internet Webcasting live, from Hassan’s secured International Television Studio.  And last, but not least, Tuesday, February 26thwill be Pioneer Day at Mohammed Schools, presenting Pioneer/Youth Symposium panel discussions, interviewing, presentations, skits and commendations. We invite you to help us edify and celebrate this momentous and historical conference event by coming to Atlanta for knowledge, information, sharing, exchanging, fellowship, relationships and developing ummatism, in order to strengthen our community by acknowledging, establishing and chronicling our own precious roots, Insha’Allah.
